Casey Web Design ("I," "me") operates caseywebdesign.com. This policy explains what information I collect when you use this website and how I handle it. The short version: I collect as little as possible, I don't sell anything, and I don't use tracking cookies.

Information you provide

When you fill out the contact form on this site, I collect your name, email address, phone number (if you choose to include it), and your message. This information is sent to me via Web3Forms, a third-party form processing service. I use it only to respond to your inquiry and, if you become a client, to communicate about your project.

If you call or email me directly, I retain that communication for business purposes.

Information collected automatically

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare collects basic server-side analytics — page views, country-level location, and referral source. This data is aggregated and anonymous. It does not identify you personally, and no cookies are set for this purpose.

This site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, time on site, and general traffic sources. GA4 uses first-party cookies to distinguish unique users. The data collected is used solely to improve this website. I do not use this data for advertising. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to distinguish unique visitors. These cookies expire after 2 years and do not contain personal information. Cloudflare may set a minimal technical cookie (__cf_bm) for security purposes such as bot detection. This is a functional cookie, not a tracking cookie, and it expires within 30 minutes.

Microsoft Clarity — provides heatmaps and session recordings to understand how visitors interact with the site. Clarity uses first-party cookies and does not sell data. Their privacy policy is available at privacy.microsoft.com.

How I use your information

I use the information you provide to respond to your inquiry, send you a quote or proposal if requested, and communicate about your project if you become a client. I do not add you to a marketing email list without your permission. I do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data retention

I retain contact form submissions and client communications for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. If you'd like me to delete your information, email me and I'll take care of it.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information I hold about you. To make a request, email [email protected].

Changes to this policy

If I make material changes to this policy, I'll update the "last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, I may also note it on the homepage.
